William E. Dertinger, Esq. - Chief Executive Officer
The founder of Esquire, Bill is an attorney with over a decade of experience as a specialist in computer and Internet technology with a focus on project management, database design and computer network systems architecture. The 2006 Technolawyer Legal Technology Consultant of the Year, he is certified by over 15 companies in their software and hardware solutions. Aside from practicing law, he was formerly an adjunct professor in the CUNY system. He has regulary presented on legal technology for the New York County Lawyers Association and has written for the Richmond County Bar Association Newsletter. Bill is a member of the State Bar of New York, the Richmond County Bar Association and MENSA. He has a JD from Brooklyn Law School; a BA from The Catholic University of America and attended Regis and Xavier High School. He played Rugby at Catholic and for the New York Athletic Club and continues to play basketball in the JCC Men's League.
Dan Generosa, Esq., MCP - Chief Operating Officer
Dan works with us while still running his other company Lexpath Technologies, Inc. He began in the legal technology field after leaving the practice of law where he was an associate in a large Long Island firm. With over ten years experience, Dan's expertise includes all aspects of Windows Networking, Exchange Server, SQL Server, LAN/WAN integration and Internet security. Dan has regularly presented on legal technology issues to bar associations and trade groups. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional. A graduate of Hofstra Law School, Dan received a BA from Fairfield Unversity in Connecticut and attended Chaminade High School in Mineola.
Steven Campanaro, Esq. - Director of Consulting Services
Steve joined Esquire while still practicing law which gave him a very practical understanding of what matters most to law firms. He immediately became certified in Time Matters, Billing Matters and HotDocs. His excellence has allowed him to head many of our larger projects. He has a JD from Brooklyn Law School and graduated cum laude with a BA from Fordham University. Steve is a member of the State Bar of New York and both the New York County and Westchester County Bar Association.
Francesca Nasso, Esq., MBA - Director of Human Resources
Francesca is an attorney with a background in both the practice of law and electronic discovery. She earned a Bachelor's Degree, magna cum laude, from St. John's University, a Masters in Business Administration from Union University with honors and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University. She is an active member of the New York State Bar and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and legal advisory committee of Bay Street Landing Home Owners Association. She is also a former adjunct professor in the legal department at New York City Technical College. Francesca has a strong history of customer service and her legal and business experience brings a wide variety of knowledge and expertise to Esquire.
Martin Tuohy, Esq. - Senior Advisor
Marty acts in an advisory capacity, while running his own company in New Jersey. A graduate of Seton Hall Law School and Rutgers University, Marty has been active in the legal technology field for over 15 years. As the former Vice President of Legal Business Development for Quality Technology Solutions, he has a keen eye for the trends in the industry and some of the pitfalls to avoid. We appreciate his insight and his sage advice.
Richard Prinzi, CPA - Chief Financial Officer
Richard is the former CEO of System Design & Installation, Ltd. and became the CFO of Esquire after the successful merger of the two companies in 2000. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He holds membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he currently serves as immediate past president of the Staten Island Chapter. Rickard is an active member of the community. In addition to serving as President for the South Shore Kiwanis Club, he is the President of the College of Staten Island Alumni Association and volunteers time with many local charities. He is also an adjunct professor with the business department at the College of Staten Island where he teaches both accounting and computer classes.
Ari Mckenzie, MCP- Chief Technology Officer
Ari is both an application consultant and manages the Esquire internal network operations. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is also certified in Time Matters and Billing Matters. He has a BS in Legal studies that aids him in understanding the unique needs and dynamics of a law firm. Ari specializes in the SQL database element of larger projects.
Julio Freitas - Manager of Internet Services
As the Manager of Internet Services, Julio is involved in the design and upkeep of all of Esquire's domain properties. His expertise is in web development, design and technology.He places special emphasis on visually appealing interfaces and ease of navigation for all of his web designs. He is an expert in the use of Flash software. He is also in charge of providing multimedia solutions on demand, which included 3d animations and modeling, video and audio editing, interactive training tools, etc. As an experienced new media designer, Julio works with animation, modeling, digital art, video and audio, print and desktop publishing.
Rita Parelli - Manager of Financial Services
Rita brings a wealth of experience in the financial realm after having previously worked at Goldman Sachs for seven years. Additionally, she became a real estate agent in 2004. Her responsibilities include AR, AP and financial planning.
